Sudano-Egyptian “Scramble” for Ethiopian fertile land የኢትዮጵያ ቅርምት?

Sudano Ethiopian border dispute flares on the area known as al-Fashaga, where the north-west of Ethiopia’s meets Sudan’s Gedaref state. The exact boundary is never demarcated on the ground. However, before the Sudano Ethiopian war of 1889 the Ethiopian border reaches unto the historical city of Soba where the two Niles meet.

Egypt claims upstream dams as a threat to its share of the Nile waters and took position with Sudan. The dispute with Egypt started over the construction of the Mega Ethiopian Renaissance Dam . Egypt climes colonial era treaties with Sudan. The border clash reached a regional plan when Eritrea took Ethiopian side and moved her forces close to the disputed area.

•1.- Is Sudan’s recent occupation a pretext to realise the century old plan to scramble the Nile region of Ethiopia with Egypt?

•2.- Is  Col. Abiy ready to give his head  to defend Ethiopia against Sudan like Emperor Yohannes in 1889 at the Battle of Gallabat?

•3.- Is Ethiopia capable of defending her territorial integrity  by Col Abiy’ s Leadership?

•4.-  Is  objective of recent Sudanese occupation of Ethiopian territory  is a simple pretext to bring TPLF back to power?

•5.- Do we grasp main genuine  objective of Eritrea in moving her  armed  forces to border area?  Is it to grab Tigray from Ethiopia, Or a move in support of   Sudan and Egypt to occupy Nile region? Or to Support  & truly stand beside Ethiopia brothers?
